Painting on Windows and Cooking Lunch

Today was my last day at Kadó. There weren't many people visiting the shop in the morning, since they usually don't get up early on Saturday. It was time to change things up a bit in the display window, which had showcased a typically Dutch windmill and featured Dutch liqourice (and chocolate sprinkles) for a while now and those things had caught a lot of dust. First of all, we had to remove everything which was displayed, and then clean off all the dust. The painting on the window also had to be removed, so I brushed it off and then cleaned the window. The outside and the other windows had also become quite dirty, so I cleaned those too. Then they asked me if I wanted to paint the world 'lakritz' onto the window, which had to be mirrored of course, if it was painted on the inside and had to be read from the outside. So after mixing some yellow paint and writing the outlines of the letters with a removable marker, I started painting. Half an hour and an aching arm later, I was finished and could move on to preparing lunch. I had already made the pesto, so I just had to cook the pasta and make some salad. After lunch, I had to clean the kitchen and mop the floor. After giving them some stroopwafels and a bottle of wine as a thank-you, it was time to say goodbye. I had a great time helping at Kadó, with everyone being so kind and willing to help whenever I couldn't find some type of liqourice.
